Monsieur Canard,
A turn of the century
bard without par
had a velvety voice that
carried near and far.

At the sound of his tune
The crowds in unison
would swoon
Their uplifted faces
like bright, shiny moons.
They’d tremble,they’d smile,
their very souls harpooned.

Under stars and moon
He’d raise his bright beak
And into our hearts
he would speak
Every melody and word
a lovely treat.
